Day 7: Testing and Troubleshooting
Congratulations! You've made it the last day of the basic set-up. At this point, you've imported all of your data and run the basic tests.
There's still more to do in order to get JobTread completely set-up. You'll want to build out your production schedules, create task templates, create different proposal templates, and so much more.
But on this final day of the 7 Day Set-Up, you'll want to do a thorough test of all the foundational integrations. A production schedule isn't all that helpful if your financial data isn't integrating correctly.
Testing Checklist
If everything is set-up correctly, you should be able to:
- Create a new job with an accurate location for the customer and push it as a new sub-customer to the right customer in QuickBooks.
- Add a cost group template to the job with common categories.
- Generate a customer proposal that looks branded and professional.
- Generate an invoice for the customer that sync with the correct cost-items into the right customer entry in QuickBooks.
- Generate a bid request that includes the right specification detail.
- Generate a purchase order from the original bid request.
- Convert the purchase order into a bill that pushes to QuickBooks with the right tax information and the correct vendor.
- Finalize invoices and bills to the right income and expense accounts in QuickBooks, so your entire P&L statement looks correct.
- Add new team members to JobTread, who can only see the right information for their role.
Once you pass this checklist, congratulations! You've got all the fundamentals together for a successful JobTread launch. Now, you're able to take advantage of more advanced features in JobTread – features like customer selections, complex production scheduling, and financial reporting.
